LILI HU

Psychologist

Lili is a Psychologist who works with children, young people and adults, with experience in community mental health and private settings. Lili has experience treating a wide variety of difficulties, including mood disorders (depression, anxiety), trauma, grief and loss, adjustment disorders, lifestyle changes, low self-esteem, behaviours of concern, stress, and relationship issues. She has utilized “Cool Kids program” for young children with anxiety, and “Positive Parenting Program” to train parents and children with developmental difficulties, including behaviours of concern. Lili speaks both English and Mandarin fluently and has been able to conveniently support new immigrants with a variety of difficulties, and provide effective conflict resolution between first and second generation immigrants.

 

Lili has experience using evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural techniques, Schema therapy, EMDR therapy, Solutions-Focused Therapy, and positive behaviour support for behaviours of concern. She is driven to equip people to overcome personal obstacles and gain insight into their mental health struggles. Lili has a warm and encouraging style and is dedicated to improving the well-being of her clients, their carers and family. 

 

Lili has years of experience working with participants and families under the National Disability Insurance Scheme. She adopts strength-based and person-centred approach, which means she has genuine interest in her client’s well-being, and treatment plan is tailored for each of her clients.
